Many people who enjoy nature and the countryside want to continue their enjoyment of walking but feel they and their loved ones would benefit from doing so in the company of others who understand the issues they are facing after a dementia diagnosis. Both people with dementia and their carers are welcome at our inclusive activity groups.

St Austell walking group ‘The Happy Wanderers’
We meet every 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month, 10.30 -12.30 in the St Austell Bay area. We enjoy walking along Kingswood, Par Beach, exploring clay country heritage at Wheal Martyn and on walking around local gardens such as Lanjeth Water Garden and Heligan.

Bude sensory nature group
We meet on the 2nd and 4th Friday of the month, 11am – 1pm in the Bude area. We enjoying walking along the canal, bird watching, meeting friendly dogs (and their owners), walking by the sea and feeling the wind in our hair! Some of our favourite walks are Bude Canal, walking from Crooklets to Summerleaze, and walking the Weir. We also love doing creative nature activities such as sun prints, felt making and biscuit baking.

Potager Peas
We meet monthly on the second Thursday of the month, 1- 3pm at Potager Garden, Constantine, Falmouth. Our group is inspired by the seasonal change of Potager Garden. We have our own raised bed and grow flowers and vegetables. We have use of an indoor space where we enjoy creative nature activities and enjoy a cuppa and chat.



Wednesday Wanderers with Leach Pottery
We meet every 2 weeks on Wednesdays 10.30 -12.30 in the Hayle/ Carbis Bay/ Helston area. Some of our favourite walks include Perranuthnoe beach, Hayle King George Memorial walk, Tehidy Woods and Lelant. We also have a monthly session with Leach Pottery, which currently is located at Godolphin National Trust, while Leach Pottery is being refurbished. The Leach sessions need to be pre-booked and have limited capacity..
