Wednesday Wanderers - a creative walking, nature and ceramics group for people living with dementia

Free dementia friendly activity in partnership with the Leach pottery, St Ives

Every Wednesday, 10:30 - 12:30 in St Ives

Due to the current situation with the Covid-19 virus, we have decided to pause our group activities. If you are a member of the activity clubs we will keep you updated. In the meantime, we are creating plans to keep you connected, both with each other and with nature, throughout this time. We are monitoring the situation closely following the latest government advice. We are conscious of the importance of the social connections provided by our groups, as well as the benefits of continuing to walk outdoors.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call the office on 01726 222900 or email

Watch our film showing the project highlights:

This is an exciting opportunity to join gentle walks in the Cornish landscape to collect natural materials and use them as the inspiration for making ceramic artwork in the studio at Leach Pottery in St Ives.

Walks take place on the first three Wednesday mornings of the month 10:30 - 12:30 and then the group meets at Leach Pottery for a studio session on the last Wednesday of each month. Here, they work with lead project artist Jackie Clark to explore connections between landscape, nature and memory by using their collected materials alongside the medium of clay.

The dates are shown below on the poster: please get in touch with Ellie if you would like to know more or to book on to the project

You can contact us with your details if you’d like to join a waiting list for the Wednesday Wanderers club.
