What we do

The Sensory Trust makes places more accessible, attractive and useful for everyone regardless of age, disability or background.

We encourage richer connections between people and place so that people can value and understand their environment. We make places and processes more accessible so that more people can join in. We work with communities to so they can contribute to the decisions that affect them and the places where they live.

We work with developers, architects and landowners in the UK and internationally to integrate social inclusion into the design and development process. Our work spans urban parks, healthcare and residential environments, schools, wildlife sites and the wider countryside.

We work with communities, disabled people, older people, children and young people, helping us all to reconnect with the places where we live, with the natural world, and with our heritage.

Our work covers the wide range of activities involved in successfully engaging people with the places they live and visit, and with the processes that shape them.
