Sensory-rich case studies
We have been exploring people's sensory-rich experiences in more detail and have made these case studies that explain the impact that these opportunities have on the people we work with.
The case studies below cover sensory-rich farm visits planned to be interesting, exciting and memorable, engaging all five senses in as many ways as possible throughout the whole visit. The visitors had opportunities to explore, discover, question and come away from their visit with their senses tingling and knowing something more about nature, food and farming.
Billow Farm and Milestone Special School - exchange visits help connect host and students.
Devereux Wootton and Credenhill Care Home - a natural work out with whittling, music and painting.
Cronkshaw Fold Farm and Rubicon - building a sensory trail for visitors with visual impairments
Farmability and Kingswood Trust - getting hands on with practical, purposeful tasks
Fosse Farm and Fosse House Nursing Home get together to grow for the plate.
Bellshill Farm and Monkchester Family Centre - learn and explore nature through the senses
Droke Farm and Oak Community Project - explore impacts and benefits
