Audio Guide at the Eden Project
Sensory Trust has been working with Eden Project on developing
a new Audio Guide.
Stories in the Guide were written and read by the Eden Project
Guides. The descriptions of a visitor's journey through the project
were written by Bridget Crowley who does description work for visually
impaired visitors at the Tate Gallery, in London and St Ives.
The RNIB very kindly supported the endeavour and coached the Guides
at their studios, where the final production was recorded.
An important thing to note is that this is not a wayfinding guide,
it is a collection of stories and vivid descriptions of Eden, which
can be listened to while on site, to get the ambience of Eden, and
to get an idea of the sights which are contained within it.
The Audio Guide will be available for the summer season 2004. Visitors
can obtain a copy from the Access Eden desk in the Visitor Centre
at Eden Project.
