Partner Profile : Indigo Arts
Indigo
Arts started ten years ago as a project to provide accessible arts
for people with a wide range of needs, from Autism and ADHD
(Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder), challenging behaviour
and severe learning disability, to pupils excluded through social
circumstances. Indigo works among schools, colleges, day centres,
secure facilities, and other organisations that require the level
of service Indigo offers.
Indigo also provides awareness workshops for organisations looking
to raise their level of “Good Practice” in engaging
disabled customers. Indigo runs sensory workshops, it also uses
art to reach people that have been labelled “difficult to
reach”. Currently Indigo enjoys a long standing working relationships
with The Eden Project, Sensory Trust and Eggbuckland Community College
(Artist in Residence). At Eggbuckland Community College Indigo is
part of the inclusion program that provides a resource for pupils
requiring a level of supportive need whilst in school.
Indigo exists to engage people and problems creatively and provide
a proactive, needs-led facility.
