Eden Project No.1

The Rough Guide places the Eden Project as the number one visitor attraction in the Parks and Gardens category for visitors with disabilities in the UK.

The first ever Rough Guide to Accessible Britain has been published, offering a choice of days out around the country for disabled visitors. The guide contains ideas for days out that are manageable and simple to plan, and rates attractions for their accessibility and facilities, such as availability of hearing loops, powered scooters and accessible toilets.

Obviously we're delighted that the Eden Project has been recognised in this way. The Sensory Trust continues to work hard with the different teams at Eden to create an environment and an experience that is enjoyable and accessible for as many people as possible. We hope that recognition in this guide will spur other visitor attractions across the UK to consider improving the experience for their disabled visitors.

And who better to help improve that experience than the Sensory Trust? Was that the sound of someone blowing their own trumpet? Yes!
