Inclusive Action Group - we have liftoff!
One of our main aims at the Trust is to try to bring together some
great minds in the inclusive field, to do some collaborative and
wonderful stuff! We thought it would be productive to get some of
these people in one room 3 to 4 times a year to see what was possible...
thus the IAG was born.
We had our first meeting on the 9th October 2002 at Churchtown
Farm, Lanlivery.
The day kicked off with a series of activities for the members.
This was partly to break the ice as this was the first meeting,
and partly to underline what the Sensory Trust is about: interaction
and richness of experience across the range of senses. To this end
we had exhibits and activities that explored taste, touch, interaction,
smell and movement.

The discussion that followed brought out a wealth of ideas and
experiences on the discussion topics set for this session.
Discussion topics
- The European Year of People with Disabilities
- Fear: User Experience of Open Public Space
This was followed by a fantastic Light & Sound show
put on by the Explorer
Dome (opens in new window).
