Royal Schools for the Deaf Manchester
A sensory garden in the heart of the campus provides a stimulating yet
relaxing environment. Made up of four separate gardens, each with a different
theme, it is an area students can explore as part of the curriculum or
simply enjoy throughout the year. It is open to the public 365 days a
year.
The garden was designed by Landscape Architect, Sue Robinson, from Stockport
MBC.
What makes it so good?
- Works with texture, light and shade, pattern, movement and sound to
provide a wide range of sensory experience that can be enjoyed by a
wide range of people.
- Provides a good balance of protected environment and challenge.
- Wheelchair accessible pathways and raised areas.
- It's fun!
