Stuart Spurring

Assistant director

Prior to moving to Cornwall to join the Sensory Trust, Stuart was enjoying a slightly different climate working as a volunteer based in Suva in the Fiji Islands for a couple of years. As a part of his time there he assisted with a couple of projects for the Fiji Disabled People’s Association, work which highlighted some of the challenges (rather than restrictions) that designing accessible information can throw up.

Before the South Pacific he spent a number of years in Melbourne, Australia, working in publishing as well as designing and making jewellery in a little studio in the heart of the city. Once settled in Cornwall he hopes to be setting up his bench again.
