Heidi Morgan
Sustainability
Heidi has been involved in the field of skills development and adult
education for a number of years. Most recently she has worked in conjunction
with small environmental businesses in Cornwall to support and develop
the skills of their workforce.
Prior to this Heidi spent six years living in Melbourne, Australia and
working for Australian Volunteers International. Her role involved having
regular contact with volunteers heading off to all sorts of exciting places.
Finally she could no longer resist the challenge of volunteering and found
herself in the beautiful Fiji Islands for 2 years working for the national
disability organisation on a training and human rights project.
Heidi has a Masters degree in Adult Education and Training which has
allowed her to explore the many and varied issues related to why adults
learn, what keeps them interested and the cultural aspects of adult education.
She is also about to complete a second Masters in Environmental Management
where she has focussed much of her research in the field of community
engagement.
At the Trust Heidi works in partnership with the Eden Project and the
Carnegie Trust on a variety of projects including research and community
engagement activities.
Heidi is very pleased to be working at the Trust. She states; “The
colour orange is so under-represented in today’s society. The Trust
is working to change this and I am very excited to be a part of it.”
