Claire Francis

Resource development

Claire works in the Sensory Trust's creative resource development team, creating ideas for new sensory-rich activities to connect people with nature.

Claire's work currently focuses on supporting our new Creative Spaces in the Community project, enhancing the lives of older people living with dementia and carers. And spearheading our first Kickstarter campaign to support the development of a new sensory card game 'gofindit'.

In earlier work, Claire has run the Connecting Carers with Nature project, providing outdoor visits and nature-based activities for the benefit of young and older carers. This work created a resource base of creative activities designed to engage people of all ages and abilities. She also worked on our Let Nature Feed Your Senses project, creating resources to support the national programme of sensory-rich farm visits. She has created a new Creative Activities for Carers blog to provide carers with access to free resources, ideas and networks.

As part of our community development work, Claire worked with Heidi Morgan to help develop connections and engage communities with the Clay Trails in mid Cornwall.
